Day 4 - Nazareth

having seen an idea of Nazareth as it would have been like, we then ventured back into modern Nazareth to the church of the annunciation - a huge site with churches built over both Mary’s and Joseph’s homes - the sites of the two angelic visitations announcing Mary’s pregnancy.

This site includes a chapel, dedicated to St Joseph, with beautiful images of the whole Holy Family, not just the usual Virgin and Child artwork.  After all, as a Jewish toddler and young boy, Jesus would have looked to Joseph as His role model in many things.  It is only right that we also give thanks for his obedience and faithfulness.
