Back at the site of our hotel, there is a museum showcasing an ancient 1st Century boat which was excavated from the shore where we are staying. A good end to a great day!

Day 3 - Safed and ancient boat
Our final trip out today was back up the hills to the Jewish town of Safed - the centre of Kabala Jewish mysticism and an important historic site in the days of Jesus (probably the City on a hill referred to in His teaching). Here we had opportunity to visit an active synagogue and understand more of the Jewish faith and practises that early Christians would have been familiar with and a part of as they were “followers of the Way” worshipping in the Synagogues.
